5th Class, Scoil Naomh Éanna, Carraroe, Co. Sligo have written a short piece detailing their journey as members of Team TSI.
“Hi everybody. We hope you enjoy our short TSI story. We are a 290 pupil school in North Sligo.
We started TSI in February this year with three novels in our classroom. The teachers moved between 8 groups. It was a really fun way to read because we never had to work by ourselves. Working in teams meant that we could share the jobs and we were never ‘stuck’ so we were independent. Not only did we read loads and discuss a lot of comprehension work but we also got much better at working together without the help of teacher. We were leading our own learning. No matter what subject we undertake, we can apply the skills we discovered through TSI.
We are looking forward to getting the chance to do it again all again next year. We hope to add more pictures of TSI in our class and post some of our exciting Team TSI book discussion ideas here. Thank you for reading. Go Team TSI !”
